In 2001, I was introduced to SCORE in my community and I am proud to say SCORE made me who I am today.
Through SCORE, I learned how to be a leader and hence held different positions in my community. Next to playing and coaching Volleyball I was also involved in the local sports committee as chairperson and learned how to improve my administrative skills.
Learning all of these lessons through the training that SCORE provided eventually led to a job at the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture from 2009 up to 2011. I’m now working as Gender Coordinator in the Office of the Mayor at Greater Giyani Municipality and use my network to support my community.
I have been elected a secretary of Provincial Handball committee and am proud to say that through my support my community Mapuve hosted the lunch of provincial handball league.
So, being involved with SCORE and being passionate about what I do led to a life full of opportunities. I’m very proud to be part of the SCORE family.
